Call for Research Proposals for Environmental Sustainability

Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj (KVSS) Sustainability Program is pleased to invite Research Proposals on Environmental Sustainability under its Research Support Fund. Through this initiative, KVSS aims to support the university-level students who are interested in and committed to conducting original research that contributes to environmental sustainability. The fund seeks to promote academic collaboration, generate valuable knowledge and evidence in Sustainability-related fields, and foster students’ academic excellence and practical innovation. 

Brief Description of the financial support includes: 

• Number of awards: At least two student research projects will be funded during this Project Cycle.

• Focus Areas: Applicants are encouraged to submit research proposals in one or more of the following areas:

  • Environmental Science & Biodiversity

  • Sustainable Agriculture & Livestock Practices

  • Ecosystem Protection & Climate Resilience

  • Green Education & Sustainability Curriculum

  • Social Development & Sustainable Community Practices

Eligibility & Application Guidelines

The Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• Academic Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program at a recognized university or college in Nepal.

• Institutional Partnership: The applicant's institution must be approved by KVSS. (Note: KVSS maintains the right to select eligible colleges and establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the administration of this fund.)

• Originality: Submission of an original, sustainability-focused research proposal.

• Commitment: Demonstrate a strong track record of academic performance and a clear commitment to sustainability and community development.

• Mission Alignment: The proposed research must align with the vision, mission, and core values of KVSS/BlinkNow.

• Reporting: A commitment to complete the research within the established timeline and submit a final, formal research report to KVSS.
